Why use a skills bridge?

Current projections point to growth across data and AI, cybersecurity, clean energy, care, and technical work—while employers also expect human abilities such as curiosity, analytical thinking, resilience, and collaboration to remain important. Possible future titles above are illustrative, not forecasts or salary promises.

For each question, choose what happens most often.

If you are unsure, choose “Not yet” or “Only with lots of help.” You can change the answer later.

4. When something is new, does your child try one small step before asking you to solve it?
5. Does your child ask their own questions and keep exploring after the first answer?
6. Can your child tell you why they think something is true?
7. Does your child check an online or AI answer before believing it?
8. Can your child turn a big task into a few smaller steps?
9. When a plan does not work, can your child find the step that went wrong?
10. Can your child see that changing one thing may affect something else?
11. When both choices have pros and cons, can your child choose one and explain why?
12. After trying an idea, does your child use what happened to make it better?

Is this an assessment of my child?

No. It is a planning aid based only on the answers you selected. It does not diagnose, grade, rank, or predict a child. Use the result as a low-pressure practice idea and adjust it with your own judgment.

Will every result recommend an EdReal program?

The full free plan never depends on a product. When a current EdReal Lab genuinely practices the selected skill and fits the age range, the result may show it as an optional structured path. Families can ignore that section and still use everything else.

Does this collect marketing consent?

No. Completing, downloading, or sharing the Compass grants no EdReal or Raise Curious consent. Any later signup is a separate, explicit choice.

Why use fixed rules instead of generative AI?

Fixed rules make identical answers reproducible and keep the tool from inventing claims about a child. The result uses controlled educational content reviewed by EdReal.

How do my answers change the roadmap?

The observed habits determine the suggested skill focus. Age changes the search phrases and film starters; your concern changes one North Star question; screen preference changes the media instructions; the learning setting changes the exploration guidance; and available time changes the project scope. Every family still chooses what fits.
