Who we are
EdReal is a brand of EdReal STEM LLC ("EdReal," "we," "us"). Raise Curious by EdReal is EdReal’s free weekly newsletter. This policy applies to edreal.org and EdReal-operated signup experiences. Information we collect
- Information you provide. When you request Raise Curious, we collect your email address, setting, consent version, selected Lab interests, and any optional purchase-link intent. Contact and group-inquiry forms may collect your name, organization, role, program interest, and message.
- Newsletter activity. Our newsletter provider may record subscription status, delivery, opens, clicks, replies, survey responses, referrals, bounces, complaints, and unsubscribes.
- Usage and device information. We receive standard technical information such as browser type, device, approximate location inferred from IP address, pages viewed, and referring page.
- Marketing attribution. We store campaign parameters and referring information so we can understand which channels are useful. We do not intentionally place names or email addresses in campaign parameters.
How we use information
- To send Raise Curious by EdReal: weekly STEM ideas and family conversations, plus occasional EdReal product and program updates, when you explicitly subscribe.
- To send requested Lab availability or purchase-link information based on the interests you select.
- To respond to inquiries, operate and secure our services, and improve our content and programs.
- To understand aggregate engagement and attribution.
We do not sell your personal information.
Consent and existing contacts
A purchase, account creation, Family Compass completion, or resource download does not automatically subscribe you. We preserve prior consent, unsubscribe, bounce, and complaint history. The change to a unified EdReal brand does not authorize us to silently reactivate or import a person who did not consent to the unified email program.
Services we rely on
- Beehiiv to manage Raise Curious subscriptions, delivery, and unsubscribe or suppression status.
- Resend for requested operational and launch communications.
- Our hosting and database providers to serve the site and securely store form submissions.
- Google Analytics 4 for aggregate traffic and event measurement.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and safeguards.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a limited set of cookies and local storage for site functionality, attribution, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we honor applicable consent and opt-out signals.
Children’s privacy
EdReal’s website, newsletter, and marketing are directed to parents, guardians, and educators—not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through these services. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can delete it.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email.
- Ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Depending on where you live, exercise additional rights under applicable privacy law.

Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No transmission or storage method is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy as EdReal grows or our practices change. We will revise the date above when we do.
